Flat Back Tape is a type of kraft tape that is frequently used in shipping and storage applications. This paper tape is a fusion of kraft tape and rubber tape that offers ease of use and a strong, durable seal.

Flatback tape is made of kraft paper that is coated on one side with a pressure-sensitive rubber adhesive. The kraft paper backing makes the tape tear and split-resistant while protecting packages from common contaminants like dirt and moisture. However, unlike standard kraft tape, flat back does not require an expensive kraft tape dispenser to activate its adhesive. Instead, the rubber adhesive only needs light manual pressure to be set in place. True to its name, the tape lays flat and does not curl. On top of this, the tape has an impressive tolerance to high heat conditions.

Flatback tape is an excellent choice for those who want the strength of kraft tape, but with a roll of tape that is much easier to use. We offer our paper tape in 2” and 3” widths, from 4.8 to 7.5 mil, to serve a wide range of applications. Hand tape dispensers are recommended for safe and convenient use of this product.
